Echunga Uniting Church

This is us. Great to be a part of a vibrant local churchGet to know Echunga Uniting Church (Adelaide Hills)

Briefly tell us your story: We are an intergenerational ‘country’ church with a missional focus in our local community. Our mandate: “ Knowing Jesus, Go - Caring & Sharing”. This currently includes building relationships through offering coffee mornings, a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group and Craft, Cuppa & Cards, along with a Bush Street Party, Community Carols and SALA art exhibition for the wider community. In different seasons we have offered kids clubs, Messy Church, youth group and Alpha. Partnerships with the local school, RSL and community association to build and bless our local village have been a great joy. While our current church building is now more than 135 years old, most of our members have moved into the area over the last 35 years from various denominational backgrounds and found a sense of family and belonging.

What are you excited about as a church at the moment: Regular answers to prayer shared during worship. A developing prayer ministry. Disciples growing of all ages. Developing connections with local families, particularly through the work of a new Children & Youth Worker.

What are you looking forward to seeing God do in this new season as a Presbytery: A renewed momentum in growing disciples, raising leaders, planting churches, conversion growth - locally and across the state

How can we as your presbytery pray for your church at the moment: That we would be an effective witness to the local community and surround area, a light on the hill
